Description of the service
Alberto García Romero (hereinafter referred to as “THE TRANSLATOR”) offers high-quality translation, proofreading, and interpretation services to meet your communication needs in different languages. These General Terms and Conditions (hereinafter referred to as “the Conditions”) govern the provision of these services by THE TRANSLATOR to his clients (hereinafter referred to as “the CLIENTS”).
1. Purpose
The purpose of the Conditions is to regulate the legal relationship between THE TRANSLATOR and the CLIENTS in the context of the provision of translation, proofreading, and interpretation services (hereinafter referred to as “the SERVICES”).
2. Scope of Application
The Conditions apply to all contracts for the provision of SERVICES entered into between THE TRANSLATOR and his CLIENTS.
3. Prior Information
Before contracting any SERVICE, THE TRANSLATOR will provide the CLIENT with the following information:
- Detailed description of the SERVICES.
- Price of the SERVICES, including taxes.
- Delivery time.
- Accepted payment methods.
- Cancellation and refund policy.
- Contact details of THE TRANSLATOR.
4. Conclusion of the Contract
The contract for the provision of SERVICES shall be considered concluded when the CLIENT accepts the Conditions and THE TRANSLATOR confirms the receipt of the advance payment.
5. Provision of the SERVICES
THE TRANSLATOR undertakes to provide the SERVICES with the required diligence and professionalism, in accordance with the specifications agreed upon with the CLIENT.
6. Prices
The prices of the SERVICES are available on THE TRANSLATOR’s website or will be provided to the CLIENT upon request. The indicated prices include the applicable VAT.
7. Payment Methods
The payment for the SERVICES can be made by the following methods:
- Bank transfer.
- Credit or debit card.
- PayPal.
- Bizum.
8. Delivery Time
The delivery time for the SERVICES will be agreed upon between THE TRANSLATOR and the CLIENT at the time of the conclusion of the contract. THE TRANSLATOR undertakes to deliver the SERVICES within the agreed time frame.
9. Cancellation and Refund
The CLIENT may cancel the contract without any penalty as long as they notify THE TRANSLATOR in writing at least 24 hours before the start date of the provision of the SERVICES. In case of cancellation less than 24 hours in advance, THE TRANSLATOR will be entitled to retain 50% of the agreed price.
10. Liability
THE TRANSLATOR shall not be liable for any damages that may arise from the translation, proofreading, or interpretation of texts that are illegal, immoral, or that contain confidential information or information protected by intellectual or industrial property rights.
11. Confidentiality
THE TRANSLATOR undertakes to maintain the confidentiality of all information provided by the CLIENT within the framework of the provision of the SERVICES.
12. Intellectual Property
The intellectual property rights over the SERVICES provided by THE TRANSLATOR belong to THE TRANSLATOR. The CLIENT acquires a non-exclusive right to use the SERVICES for the specific purpose for which they were contracted.
13. Subcontracting
THE TRANSLATOR reserves the right to subcontract the provision of the SERVICES to third parties, provided that they meet the same quality and confidentiality standards as THE TRANSLATOR.
14. Force Majeure
THE TRANSLATOR shall not be liable for the non-fulfillment of his contractual obligations if such non-fulfillment is a result of force majeure, such as natural disasters, strikes, or armed conflicts.
15. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
The Conditions are governed by Spanish law. Any dispute arising in relation to the Conditions will be resolved by the competent courts of the city of San Fernando (Cádiz).
